1. Gradebook Item Settings View

The following functionality applies to assignments (gradebook items) that were created in the gradebook. The ability to release assignments to the gradebook already exists in the Assignments and Tests & Quizzes tool.

1.1. Check box for “ Release [gradebook item] assignment. Make this assignment

available in the assignments that are displayed to students.”

1.2. By default, check box is checked.

1.3 The setting can be changed later.

Note: if an assignment has been marked for inclusion in calculating the final grade (i.e., course grade), its score still contributes to the cumulative grade and course grade regardless of whether it has been released.

2. Gradebook Overview

2.1. Added "Released to Students" column with Y or N entries. This includes release status of gradebook items (assignments that were created in the gradebook) as well as assignments and assessments that were released by instructors in the respective tool.

2.2. Sort and reverse sort are alphabetical on Y and N.

 

3. Student View

3.1. For released assignments, the assignment list contains Title, Due Date, Score, and Points information.

3.2. Unreleased assignment do not appear in assignment list.
